Who else is feeling inspired and empowered after this past weekend at the LadyPro Mastermind? The Team at Electrician On Call totally is!! Just in case you missed the incredible event that celebrated, trained and spotlighted women...our very own #LadyPro, and Social Media Intern & Blogger Zara (from Zest of Life) has all the details for you! So if you're suffering from #FOMO - don't worry we got you!
The day started with a keynote by our Chief Operating Officer and Founder of Tools & Technology Trailblazers Program, Irum Rashid - Jones that passionately talked about the LadyPro movement as an inclusive call-to-action for men and women in the construction and home services industry to work together to help one another within the industry to focus on quality workmanship, being great at their trade, and partnering with local non-profits to improve the communities they service, work in, and live.
Our morning continued with topics and insight that focused on:
Women in Leadership and thriving in a male dominated industry with the amazing Dr. Bernice Ledbetter from Pepperdine University: Center for Women in Leadership
Living the Life of a Lady Pro with the award winning CEO of The HVAC Guys, Ana Rivera
Financial planning and organization with financial guru & powerhouse Eva Macias
Goal setting and task management tips with superwoman Laurie Castillo
After a jam-packed morning session, Lady Pros from all across the world connected while munching on some delicious local BBQ at Gas Monkey Live. Some of the Lady Pros were actually meeting for the first time in person because the Lady Pro community has grown so much since 2018 (when it was first created) with over 2,000 active women in the trades, and 100,000 supporters worldwide! LadyPros from Hawaii, Canada and other major cities joined arms, shared laughter and hugs all while swapping war stories of their experience in the home services and construction industries. Check out the video below with real Lady Pros that are #DoingTheWork
After some good laughs, high-fives and a fun photo booth (thanks Guy T. Phillips) we were ready for an afternoon of transformation and celebration!
As I rushed back to my seat hoping to win a raffle prize (which I did - Cheesecake Factory - here I come!!), we were entertained by the talented, super funny, insightful and energetic Phone Doctor Nancy Friedman that taught us how to build a perfect customer experience.
The day ended by celebrating and awarding an incredible LadyPro a $5,000 scholarship to support her career in the trades!
Thank you to the Housecall Pro team for their support in helping to unite and amplify the voices of women in the trades while changing the lives of so many of us!
We're so grateful to be part of Lady Pros, and in awe as we continue to reflect the Lady Pro movement!
