Electrician On Call was founded by husband and wife duo David Jones & Irum Jones 20+ years ago in Dallas, Texas. Together they decided they wanted to provide the best electrical contractor service in North Texas by offering a hassle-free experience for homeowners and businesses.

DAVID JONES, PRESIDENT + FOUNDER & OWNER 

David Jones, a true Southern Gentleman & proud Navy Veteran serves as the President, Master Electrician, HVAC Master Tech & Technical Trainer that conducts hands-on technical training with all the Technicians in the field. He is a dual-licensed technician and encourages all techs to reach their full potential through quality workmanship and love for the trades. Dave's hometown is beautiful, historic Natchez, Mississippi where he grew up playing basketball, fishing in the bayou and admiring the hard work of his father that served as the go-to carpenter in town! After high school, David enrolled in the United Stated Navy as a Seabee for the United States Naval Construction Battalions in addition to earning a position on the Navy Basketball team. During his time as a Lineman & service Electrician he travelled to hurricane stricken towns to help rebuild cities in the Caribbean, Hawaii and Japan. After his honorable discharge, he was accepted into Purdue University's Electrical Engineering program while earning two spots on the Purdue University basketball team.  Dave later transitioned to Dallas focusing on an incredible opportunity into a Telecommunications program where he met his wife & business partner. While pursuing his degree, Dave was a full-time Journeyman Electrician and decided he wanted to dedicate all his effort back into the trades, and so as fate had it - Dave embarked on a journey to become one of the youngest Master Electricians in the state of Texas! Once he achieved his Masters, he went on to study networking, residential new construction, indoor air quality management, and green building solutions. In 2010 David dedicated his time towards learning HVAC systems and achieved his Master HVAC Tech designation a few years later. With 2 trade licenses under his belt, and a thirst to continue to learn - Dave leads by example and mentors younger generations while encouraging others to reach their full potential. Dave is adored by customers, vendors, and everyone he meets! He is one of DFW's most loved tradesmen (just check his reviews)! Although he's the President of Electrician On Call, he loves to continue servicing customers all over the DFW area a few days a week! He's never shy to lend a helping hand! He spends his personal time freshwater fishing, mentoring children eager to learn about the trades, spending time with family, & cooking up some of the best BBQ in DFW!

IRUM RASHID-JONES, CO-FOUNDER & CHIEF EXPERIENCE OFFICER
A Multi-Faceted Project Manager by trade that served previously as the Chief Operating Officer focusing on all operational, customer-centric solutions, and community impact projects to ensure that customers have a worry-free experience every time. Irum's a native New Yorker from Queens that enjoys the warm Texas weather! Unlike Dave, Irum bootstrapped her way into college while working 2 jobs at the tender age of 17, all while navigating through the Big Apple! Irum believed in the American Dream - which is to find what you're good at and to put all your effort into a purposeful role. She believed wholeheartedly that anyone can be great at anything as long as they were given clear access. In 2000, Irum left her hometown behind and headed towards warmer weather to Dallas as a Software Project Manager. She climbed the ranks of corporate America and became the youngest Vice President of a successful software company all while staying dedicated to Electrician On Call throughout the years. In 2017, Irum transitioned to the trades 100%. Today, Irum is one of the foundational members of LadyPros; a global tribe of tradeswomen who embrace hard work today for a better tomorrow and Founder of SPARKS360 (formally known as Tools & Technology Trailblazers); a nationally recognized, award-winning STEAM workshop that focuses on rebuilding communities by bridging the gap between technology & construction. In addition to her commitment to the skilled-trades, she's a servant-leader that advocates for all communities to have clear access to education, resources & opportunities. Her passion to advocate for inclusive spaces for families to thrive has helped identify some of the biggest needs in North Texas.  She serves as a Board Member, Advisory Council Member and Oversight Committee member for hundreds of community impact initiatives including non-profits like Junior Achievement of Dallas, Sarah's Way, Fostering Out, Texas Women for Children, National Center for Missing & Exploited Children, Fellowship of Professional Women, Dallas Professional Women, Life Savers Foundation, The Rashid-Jones Foundation, The Dallas Dream Team, Fellowship Power Lunch Veteran's Appreciation, Prestonwood Veterans Connection and The Texas Pool. She is also a proud member of the Junior League of Collin County, National Association of Women in Construction, Anchored In Christ and SpeakerSeries DFW. She's a recipient of The Gittings Selfless Women Award, Plano Magazine's Girl Boss 2020, 2020 Collin County Female Business Leader of the Year, Dallas Business Journal's 2019 Women in Business honoree, and most recently Success Sisters Magazine recognized her as one of the Top 50 Influential Women to Watch for 2021. Her philanthropic endeavors have been recognized nationally, and in 2022 she was awarded the third year in a row the Gold Presidential Volunteer Service Award by the White House for her commitment to improving communities. As a proud #LeadershipPlano Class37 graduate, she continues to support local efforts & loves lending a hand to socially responsible businesses.  In 2023, Irum was featured in The New York Times for her time management techniques and became an Amazon Best Selling Author! When Irum's not in the office, you can find her either volunteering with her family, on stage speaking to students or being the taste-tester for Dave's awesome BBQ!

Dave & Irum currently reside in Far North Dallas with their two kids; Zara and Lennox. During the 2021 pandemic, the Jones family adopted "Bubba" Bo Bolt Buddy Bear Jones; a sweet Golden Retriever that loves being a member of the family too!
